These wonderful vintage dolls houses are seriously addictive. I started with the No32 (the blue and white one) then quickly got carried away and added a No.O (the house in this first picture). I then added a few more antique houses from other makers. The oldest one here is the No.0 it dates from between 1902 -1914 and is a dinky 14.5 inches in height. Take a look at the second photo and you'll see Miss Fluffy is the very happy new owner of No.0 and has made herself quite comfortable. The final photo is of a G&J Lines No31 patiently waiting for her turn for a 'glow up'.

You can find heaps more information about the Lines Bros houses and other Doll's Houses on the www.dollshousespastandpresent.co.uk website.

This Gorgeous Old Girl is a G&J Lines Bros No32 Half 'Kits Coty' There was a No33 Half 'Kits Coty' that was slightly bigger and a No18 Half 'Kits Coty' that the same size as the No32 but was side opening. The largest Kits Coty (not a half size) was the No24 a HUGE Doll's House shown here top right in the Brighton Toy & Model Museum catalogued drawings below.

Lovely Doll House from an unknown maker.

Although this Doll House looks like a Lines House it is not from the original G & J Lines company that was founded in the late 19th Century.

It is in fact one of the first Doll Houses produced by the Tri-ang Company founded in 1919 which came into being when three of Joseph Lines Sons started their own company (Joseph was the J in G&J Lines). It is a DH/1 and was one of the first Dolls Houses introduced in by the newly formed Company. From 1931 opening windows were added to this model.

After World War 1, Tri-ang Toys became the World's largest toy manufacturers. Sadly the company went out of business in 1971.
